Pascal Debon, Managing Partner
Having worked for more than 30 years for major equipment manufacturers, Pascal Debon is a seasoned manager with international
experience in the telecommunications industry. Over the course of his career, he has held various management and executive
positions in Europe and North America, beginning with the French company Alcatel, and then Nortel Networks, where he was
president of the Network Operators division (fixed, optical and wireless networks), with responsibility for a group of 25,000
employees. Based in Texas and Paris, Mr. Debon serves as Trio Capital’s main contact in Europe.
Alain Rhéaume, Managing Partner
Alain Rhéaume has more than 25 years of experience in senior management positions in both the public and private
sectors. Before starting out on his corporate career, he was associate deputy minister and subsequently deputy minister
of Finance for the Government of Quebec, where he oversaw the privatization of various assets and companies. Mr. Rhéaume
then went on to join Microcell Telecommunications where, over a period of almost 10 years, he held a succession of positions,
namely chief financial officer, executive vice-president, and then president and chief operating officer. He holds a degree
in Administration from Université Laval and has completed studies for a Master’s degree in Policy Analysis.
René Bousquet, Partner
Over a period of more than 10 years, René Bousquet held various management positions at Microcell Telecommunications.
After assuming responsibility for marketing, and then strategic planning followed by financial planning, he was president of
the Fido Solutions division. Prior to that, he was a senior marketing and market segmentation advisor, and then a director at
Pricewaterhouse. Mr. Bousquet holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration and a Master’s degree in Marketing from the Université
de Sherbrooke. He has also completed specialized studies in consumer behaviour analysis and in statistical modelling at New York University.
Gérard KAAS, President Founder,
Gérard Kaas acquired a thorough understanding of the world of information systems and telecommunications
through his experience at IBM, ITT, and Nortel Networks. As the Managing Director of Fichet Bauche Sécurité
Electronique France, he added to his know-how in terms of security and formed Crystalid in 2002, followed by Checkphone.
